Aloha, part elua

(that’s “two,” in Hawaiian…)

The last couple weeks have felt like another world, whether standing on a 14,000-foot peak watching the sun set to just the sheer remote get-away-from-it-all-ness. It’s good to be reminded that while there are no perfect places in this fallen world, there are some that offer respite from the more common day-to-day nonsense. Of Hawaiian vacations, I can only say what Ferris Bueller said of his favorite sports car: “it’s so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.” Just don’t hang out in Waikiki — that’s not Hawaii…

…back to the grind, now. *sigh*
