The heavens AND the earth…

The last post was a reminder that while we can admire the beauty of the earth, we must reserve our worship for the One who created it.  Twenty-five years ago today, NASA launched the Hubble Space Telescope.  While initially troubled by a faulty lens, the space agency showed a brief reprise of its famous “can do” years with a repair mission that yielded incredible results.  While many people view these images through the lens of secular humanism and an attempt to deny the existence of God, for me they are further confirmation of the Bible’s wisdom.  For indeed,

“The heavens declare the glory of the Lord, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.”  (Psalm 19:1)

Enjoy Hubble’s collected body of work to date here.  And remember to Whom both the earth and the sky belong…

Psalm 24-1
