No accountability

Apparently just as I was posting yesterday about the Feds seizing over $100K from a small business owner, the IRS was deciding to give it back.

— Having never filed any charges.

— Having no intention of reimbursing the victim’s legal fees or the lost interest on the seized assets.  (In other words, despite returning the seized savings, Uncle Sam’s misguided actions still cost this citizen north of $20,000.)

— And not even bothering to apologize or make a public statement to help clear up his good name.

Note the allegation in the linked article that at one point McLellan was warned about seeking publicity over his case.  The rats can’t stand the scrutiny.  We pay taxes to support this kind of mafiosi governance?

My question is: why?
